Statement of our faith

We believe in one God who eternally exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God who became flesh to reveal God to humanity and to become the Savior of the lost world.

We believe that all scripture is inspired by God and useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that everyone who belongs to God may be equipped for every good work.

We believe that all people were created in the image of God and so deserve the respect, honor, and charity that is due to God.

We believe that all people have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory, and so are deserving of spiritual death.

We believe that Jesus Christ offered himself on the cross as an atoning sacrifice, and that faith in him is the only means of salvation and forgiveness of sins.

We believe that God freely offers this gift of forgiveness and eternal life to all people.

We believe in the resurrection of the dead: first, that Jesus Christ rose from the dead never to die again, and second, that humans who have died will rise again, some to everlasting life and some to everlasting torment.

We believe that we should love and forgive one another, just as God loved us and forgave us through Jesus Christ.

We believe that our lives should demonstrate love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

We believe that the Church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. The Church is made up of those who have trusted by faith that Jesus Christ died, was buried, and rose again for the forgiveness of sins. The purpose of the Church is to glorify God by obeying his commandments and making disciples of all nations.
